Plan California & Arizona - My Bits and Parts


Some quick notes on our trip :)

Route : Las Vegas - Arizona - San Diego - Los Angeles

Dates : 25th November, 2019  to 3rd December, 2019 ( March - May / September - Early November)

Places visited in chronological order:

Day 1. Started from Dallas and landed in Las Vegas   - Spirit Airways , Hotel Excalibur (Stay), Explored different Hotel casinos in Vegas

Day 2. Woke up at 4 am to start 2 days tour to Arizona - https://www.taketours.com/ ( Package we selected as per our convenience )

Day 3. We returned at 5 pm from the tour and explored Vegas - Hotel Bellagio (Stay), Fremont street, High rollers.

Day 4. Woke up and checked out, had delicious food at hotel Tamba &  explored Las Vegas until our flight to San Diego in the evening.
Reached San Diego & picked up our car with Avis Car renters. Drove to our Airbnb.

Day 5. Started early & explored San Diego sea port . Visited Sea world the same day.

Day 6. Drive to Los Angeles. Explore beaches & spots between San Diego & LA.
On the same day we covered Hollywood Sign - Griffith observatory & Hollywood walk of fame.
We checked in at our Airbnb.

Day 7. Started early & spent the whole day at Disney land LA. You can take an express pass incase you want to skip the long queue.

Day 8. Spent the whole day at Universal studios LA. Had taken an express pass helped us skip the big waiting queues and cover maximum of it.

Day 9. Relaxed morning on the day of home return. Visited Santa Monica Pier. Had delicious Indian cuisine at Ritas.
Reached the airport, returned our car rented. Back to bae - Dallas at 12 am.

Upper antelope Grand Canyon, Horse shoe bend - Arizona

Universal Studio, Disney land, Santa Monica Pier, Beaches - Los Angeles

Other Suggestions - 
Check the weather before you start and plan your clothing accordingly.
Tours are the most convenient and less hectic way to explore Arizona.
Airbnb is the best stay way in San Diego & Los Angeles.
Do not miss visiting beaches in LA & Hotels in Vegas.
Approximate per person expenditure for this tour was $1500 - $1600. You can share an additional paid luggage between two people if you plan to go on > 4 days trip.
You can save if you book tickets for flight, amusement parks & hotels well in advance.

Fly day and Emotion at the Airport

Country, Motherland, Parents, Relatives, Friends, Colleagues, Neighbors, Air, Water, Shelter and everything around you is bidding farewell. Yes, this is exactly what you feel on THE DAY. I am not kidding when I say I didn't sleep for more that 5 hours couple of nights before I was going to depart.  When you are preparing, you are very happy about visiting a new country, knowing new culture, working in a entirely different protocol, but. . This day, the day you fly, will fill you with mixed emotions.  The thought on how much you will leave behind just keeps growing every second. The clock ticks faster on this day than usual, every person around you looks at you with an unnamed emotion. The things important on this day are to ensure you are not forgetting anything, placing the important documents safely, rechecking if all the bags are under the weight limit specified by the airline, checking the weather conditions to start your way to the airport etc But I remember

Landing to 1st Week Survival - THE US Texas Dallas

You are lucky enough when you have someone picking you up from the airport and you know where you are going to stay.. Cheers to my husband's and his friends efforts that we had rented a house already. Yes, these become THE most essential things once you land. The day we landed: This was Saturday, 4.30 pm. Fortunately my husband has super fantastic colleagues, now friends. 3 people landed and we saw 4 people at the airport to receive us. This made me feel so lucky and not home sick at the very moment we landed. We saw our community ( Society for us in India, remember?). The house was on the third floor (2nd floor as per Indian std.). Without a lift it seemed impossible to carry our 32*4 kgs + 17 kgs of luggage upstairs. You won't believe if I say I didn't carry a single bag upstairs.
